If you have to work on New Years Eve, this was the event to have. We were called out to RA Sushi a month before to assess this classy upscale sushi spot off Legacy Circle to come up with ideas on how to spice up their Red and Black New Years Eve party. Using LED uplights to wash the walls with red, pin-spots to highlight the bamboo arrangements scattered throughout the room, and remote controlled LED strip lighting for the liquor bottles, the whole room came to life. This is the place to get great sushi and to top it off, the staff was incredibly friendly and great to work with. Stop by during happy hour for 1/2 off sushi and $1 saki. Congrats Megan and Tracy! It gave me great pleasure to be able to DJ and provide Event Lighting for their wedding reception / party at the OW Ranch in Granbury, TX this past weekend. They actually got married over New Years in Hawaii, so this was just a reason to get all the friends and family together for a grand celebration back home (and celebrate they did!). They requested colored uplighting around the perimeter of the room, a few Japanese lanterns to spice it up around the sushi table, and some gobos on the exterior, covering the building so guests could see from miles away. April Ragsdale and Lucy Walling from Weddings on the Boulevard provided all the decor and floral, and April was our day of coordinator. Aves Photographic Design provided the photography (except for the above pic) and Under the Tower shot the video. Everyone was a pleasure to work and was a great night all around.
